Privacy Policy

Turn Pro Poker ("the App") is a poker session tracking and hand replay application. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash). No real name or phone number is required.

Poker Session Data: You enter poker session details (stakes, buy-in, cash-out, location, game type, duration). This data is stored locally on your device using WatermelonDB and optionally synced to our secure cloud servers.

Hand Replay Data: Hands you record in the replayer (seat positions, actions, cards, community cards) are stored locally. Shared hand replays generate a shareable URL containing compressed hand data — no personal information is included in shared links.

Bankroll Transactions: Deposit and withdrawal records you create are stored locally and optionally synced.

Subscription Information: If you subscribe to Turn Pro, purchase transactions are processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We receive subscription status via RevenueCat but do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored locally on your device by default. If you enable sync, data is transmitted via HTTPS to our backend servers hosted on Render.com with PostgreSQL database storage. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Authentication uses JWT tokens with automatic refresh.

Backups: our database is backed up for disaster recovery on a short rolling retention schedule, after which older backups are automatically and permanently overwritten. When you delete data or your account, the deletion is applied immediately to the live database; any copy remaining in a backup is kept beyond use (used only to restore service after a failure, never accessed for any other purpose) until that backup rolls off. If a backup ever has to be restored, deletions are re-applied so deleted data does not return.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties for their own purposes. We use a small number of service providers that process data only on our behalf and under our instructions:

• RevenueCat: manages subscription status (no session, hand, or bankroll data is shared)
• PostHog (EU): anonymous product-analytics events, which you can turn off in the App; no email address is sent
• Sentry: crash and error reports used to fix bugs; you can turn this off in the App
• Render.com: hosts our backend servers and database
• Legal Requirements: if required by law or to protect our rights

5. Your Rights

• Access: Your data is always visible in the App
• Export: Pro subscribers can export session data as CSV
• Deletion: You can delete individual sessions, hands, or transactions at any time. You can also permanently delete your entire account and all associated data — see how to delete your account. When you delete your account we erase it from our servers and instruct our service providers to delete the data they hold for it.
• Offline Use: The App works fully offline — you are never required to sync

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. The App tracks poker statistics only — no real-money gambling takes place within the App.

7. Analytics

The App may collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g., paywall views) to improve the user experience. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
